Patole - Traditional Maharashtrian Recipe

Ingredients: 1 cup rice flour, 1/2 cup water, 1 cup grated fresh coconut, 11/2 cup grated jaggary, a pinch of salt, 1 tspn cardamom powder, 6-8 fresh turmeric leaves. Procedure: Mix freshly grated coconut and jaggary and cook on low flame till it becomes dry. Add cardamom powder and mix well. In a bowl take rice flour ,water and salt. Mix well ,batter should be like dosa batter. Grease turmeric leaf with ghee. Spread the batter evenly in the shape of leaf. Put the coconut and jaggery mixture. Fold the leaf in middle and wrap the leaf .



Keep all the patole in steamer for 10 minutes .



Serve with pure ghee.
