Methi Puri





Ingredients:


2 cups Wheat Flour
1/2 cup Gram Flour (Besan)
2-3 cups Chopped Fenugreek Leaves (Methi)
1 tblspn Ginger+Garlic+Green Chilli Paste
1 tspn Red Chilli Powder
1 tspn Coriander Powder
1/2 tspn Fennel Seeds (Saunf) (It gives nice flavour to puri, you can add sesame seeds as well)
Salt to Taste
2 tblspn Hot Oil


Procedure:


Mix wheat and gram flour and add above all ingredients.
Add 2 tblspn Hot oil and knead firm dough adding little water at a time.
Let the dough rest for 10-15 minutes.
Make small balls out of dough and roll into puri.
Deep fry them in hot oil on medium heat.
These puris wont puff like regular ones because we have added fennel seeds to it.
Take them out once done and place it on paper towel to drain off excess oil.
Serve it with Aloo sabzi or Mango Pickle or simply have it with hot cup of tea.
