Ingredients:
3 cups finely chopped Spinach
2 cups Kabuli Chana soaked overnight and then pressure cooked. (Can use Canned Chickpeas also)
2 Tomatoes+ 3-4 Garlic Pods+ 1 inch Ginger+3 green chillies, grind together to make Tomato Puree.
1 big onion finely chopped
1 tblspn Chhole Masala
1 tspn Red Chilli Powder
1 tspn Coriander Powder
1/2 tspn Aamchur Powder
1/2 tspn Garam-Masala
Salt to taste
1 tspn Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
2-3 Bay Leaves
3-4 Cinnamon Sticks
Oil
Procedure:
Heat oil in heavy-bottomed vessel and saute cumin seeds, bay leaves and cinnamon sticks.
Now add chopped onions, salt and tomato puree and stir.
Add all dry spices (except Garam-Masala) and mix well.
Now add chopped spinach , cover and cook for about 7-8 minutes. Once spinach is cooked add cooked kabuli chana and mix together.
Once done sprinkle Garam-masala powder over it and mix well.
Add Lemon Juice and serve hot with roti , chapati.
