Ingredients for Chocolate Shortbread:
1 Cup All Purpose Flour
1/2 Cup Butter Softened
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
1 Tspn Vanilla Essence
1/4 Tspn Salt
(Recipe also states usage of egg-yolk but i skipped adding egg)
Procedure:
Sift all purpose flour, cocoa powder and salt together in a mixing bowl.
In another mixing bowl beat Butter and sugar until light and creamy.
Add vanilla essence and beat it. (If you are adding egg this is the right to time to add and beat together)
Scrape down the sides of the bowl if needed.
Now add the flour and cocoa powder mixture and beat until a dough forms.
In a greased cake-tin or tart-pan spread the dough evenly , smoothing it with back of spoon.
Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 Degree C for about 20 -25 minutes.
Once done remove from oven and place on a cooling rack .
Ingredients for Chocolate Glaze:
90 Grams of bittersweet Chocolate chopped
2 Tblspn Butter softened
1/3 Cup of chopped toasted Almonds and Pistachios
Procedure:
In a microwave safe bowl combine chopped chocolate and butter.
Microwave for 10 -15 seconds on medium power.
Pour the warm chocolate glaze over shortbread and spread evenly.
Sprinkle chopped almonds and pistachios and gently press them.
Let it cool completely.
Remove it on a plate and cut into wedges and serve.

मराठी पाककृती:
साहित्य चॉक्लेट शॉर्टब्रेड:
१ वाटी मैदा
१/२ वाटी बटर (रुम टेम्परेचरला)
१/२ वाटी साखर
१/४ वाटी कोको पावडर
१ टीस्पून व्हॅनिला एसेन्स
१/४ टीस्पून मीठ
(पाककृतीत एका अंड्याचा बलक ही घालू शकतो, मी अंडंविरहीत पा़कृ दिलिये)
पा़कृ:
मैदा, कोको पावडर व मीठ एकत्र चाळून घ्या.
मिक्सींग बाऊलमध्ये बटर व साखर एकत्र हलके होईपर्यंत फेटून घ्या.
त्यात आता व्हॅनिला एसेन्स घाला व फेटा. (अंडे घालणार असाल तर आत्ता घालून फेटा)
आता त्यात मैद्याचे मिश्रण घाला व सगळे गोळा होईपर्यंत एकत्र करा.
केक-टीन किंवा टार्ट-पॅन ला तुपाचा हात फिरवून घ्या.
त्यात हे मिश्रण नीट पसरा व प्री-हीट केलेल्या ओव्हनमध्ये १८० डिग्रीवर २०-२५ मिनिटे बेक करा.
शॉर्टब्रेड तयार झाला की कुलिंग रॅकवर काढून ठेवा
साहित्य चॉक्लेट ग्लेझ:
९० ग्राम बीटरस्वीट चॉक्लेट
२ टेस्पून बटर (रुम टेम्परेचरला)
१/३ वाटी कोरडेच भाजून तुकडे केलेले पिस्ता, बदाम
पा़कृ:
मायक्रोव्हेव सेफ बाऊलमध्ये चॉक्लेट व बटर एकत्र करुन मिडियमवर १०-१५ सेकंद गरम करुन घा व नीट मिक्स करुन घ्या.
चॉक्लेट ग्लेझ तयार शॉर्टब्रेडवर नीट पसरवून लावा.
त्यावर पिस्ता, बदामाचे तुकडे हलकेच दाबून लावा.
पूर्ण थंड झाल्यावर त्याचे तुकडे कापा व सर्व्ह करा.
